What is a Wiki

A wiki is a webpage designed to be easily created and updated by a pool of users. Some wikis are completely open to the public, allowing all visitors to add their thoughts to the subjects covered by the wiki. Originally, wikipedia operated this way. Other wikis, like this one, are open to public viewing but only those with the password may change the content. Some wiki hosts, including PBWiki, also allow private wikis which may only be viewed by those who know the password.
